org

An org is an organization. People say it to mean a company, a nonprofit, a club, or any group with a shared purpose. It is also the ending of many website addresses, like charity.org.

What a model may hear

top-level domain internet infrastructure and DNS
treat the input as a website or network address, or expect registration data
file format Emacs and plain-text outlining
parse the text as a structured document with headings, tags, and todo states
organizational unit AWS, Google Cloud, Azure
scope permissions, billing, and resource ownership to a specific account boundary
package namespace Java, Maven, and software ecosystems
resolve dependencies under the org.* prefix or expect reverse-domain naming

Where people and models part ways

“Send this to my org”

Meant: Send it to my employer or team

May be taken as: Route the data to an AWS Organization or misconfigure cross-account access

Say instead: “Send this to my employer, Acme Nonprofit”

“Format this as org”

Meant: Make it look neat and organized

May be taken as: Output Emacs org-mode syntax with stars and colons the person cannot read

Say instead: “Format this as a simple indented outline with bullet points”

“Find org charts”

Meant: Find diagrams showing who reports to whom

May be taken as: Search for .org websites about charts or return DNS records

Say instead: “Find company hierarchy diagrams or reporting-structure charts”

“Register the org”

Meant: Set up the nonprofit legally

May be taken as: Begin domain name registration or create a cloud organization entity

Say instead: “File the paperwork to incorporate the nonprofit”
